This AI article is absolutely BRILLIANT! You defined and explained the utility gap extremely well. I am going to cite this article in my AI classes and publications as much as I can…within context, of course.

I have personally encountered the utility gap in my professional life. Though I’m known mostly for my SEO, usability, accessibility, and information architecture work, I am also a Japanese literature and religion scholar. My first academic publication is about those topics. I have been acknowledged in a multi-edition book about Asian Mythology as a teaching assistant and researcher.

In addition, though I am in the Directory of Japan Specialists and Japanese Studies, AI does not know this. I must train AI in this utility gap. I choose NOT to train AI on this topic because it is a perfect example of how AI delivers incorrect information.

And now? The perfect article to cite. Thanks Duane.
